Gilbert has been an advisor with Northwestern Mutual since 1995. He graduated in 1982 from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. In addition to holding an insurance and Series 7 license, he has chosen to pursue higher education within the financial services industry. Gilbert chose this career because he finds joy in helping others during good and challenging times. He likes to say, “doctors save lives, I save lifestyles.” As a devout Christian, he sees what he does as a mission to be a witness for Jesus Christ and a reflection of His goodness.


Gilbert has been married to his wife Brenda since 1985 and they have 4 children, Carly, Taylor, Logan, and Jansen. An interesting fact about him is that he is the 12th of 15 children. He grew up on a farm in Illinois and his parents demonstrated love and the value of hard work. Some of his hobbies include golfing, gardening, reading, and vacationing with his family.
